Wangaratta Festival of Jazz 2009

Friday 30th October to Monday 2nd November 2009

Baileys Hot Jazz Cafe, Reid Street Stall and Blues at Baileys

It's that time of year again, when the Wangaratta region swings to the sound of some of the best local and international jazz acts around. As usual, Baileys of Glenrowan will be part of the festival, sponsoring the Blues and Hot Jazz Cafe across the long weekend, and also hosting the popular Blues at Baileys winery on Monday 2nd November. We'll have a stall at the Bules Marque and Hot Jazz Cafe, so there'll be plenty of opportunity for you to catch up with us at some stage during the festival.

Monday will see Baileys play host to the dynamic roots/blues singer Lil' Fi. Originally from Queensland sugar country but now based around Melbourne, Lil' Fi is best known on the music festival circuit and has played alongside many well renowned musicians. Lil' Fi will perform with her band at the winery between 12pm and 3pm on the festival Monday.

Of course, whilst you're at Baileys our Old Block Cafe will be cooking up some fabulous foods inspired by wild native bush herbs and spices. Enjoy a glass of our iconic red wines with your lunch and taste our latest vintages. As regular visitors will know, our landscaped picnic grounds, Heritage Cellar door and atmospheric barrel hall provide the perfect setting for kicking back and enjoying the blues.

Further information on buses, tickets and the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz is available at www.wangaratta-jazz.org.au Entry to Baileys for Blues at Baileys on Monday 2nd November is free. Please note, no BYO alcohol is permitted at the winery; however, BYO portable chairs or picnic rugs are recommended!
