Welcome to Baileys of Glenrowan

Baileys of Glenrowan is a premium quality winery, steeped in history, that specialises in fine red wines and luscious fortifieds.

Established in 1870, Baileys has taken the best of the old vineyards and winemaking techniques and combined these with modern winemaking skills to produce outstanding wines.

Baileys of Glenrowan wines have won much critical acclaim.  The wines have a cult following, partly due to their excellent reputation for developing well with age.

Baileys is a medium sized winery and all grapes are grown and winemaking completed on site.  Many traditional winemaking techniques are used at Baileys, including the restored 100 year-old Basket Press.  The ‘hands–on’ effort required for the grape growing and winemaking is testament to the passion of the Baileys team.

The wines are not the only attraction at Baileys of Glenrowan.  The original Baileys family settlers were inspired in their choice of location, for as well as the perfect vine-growing terroir, the Baileys vineyards are situated in a beautiful area.

When arriving at Baileys, visitors meander beyond an original blacksmith forge, through a peppercorn avenue, past long-standing stone Clydesdale stables and the original block of Shiraz planted in 1904.

The end of this picturesque track opens to landscaped grounds, where a traditional welcome awaits you in the 100 year-old cellar door.

Enjoy the cosy open fire in the cooler months, or make use of the picnic grounds and barbecue facilities in the warmer season. Browse through the contemporary art gallery and museum, presenting heritage at its best. Enjoy lazy weekend lunches at the Old Block Cafe - or coffee, hot chocolate or tea with delicious biscuits and nougat at any time!

Baileys of Glenrowan is located five kilometres west of the township of Glenrowan and 230 kilometres northeast of Melbourne.

Cellar Door is open every day (except Christmas Day) from 10am to 5pm.
