Baileys' Wine

Richard Bailey, the founder of Baileys of Glenrowan, brought his family to Australia in the 1850s. The family moved to North Eastern Victoria in the 1860s and Varley Bailey, Richard’s son, made the first Baileys wine in 1870. Since this time the region has become world renowned for its ultra premium red and fortified wines. Baileys of Glenrowan continues to be recognised today as a world-class producer of full flavoured red and luscious fortified wines.

A stylish and complex wine, the 2006 vintage of our 1920s Block Shiraz is exceptional and easily furthers the block’s reputation for producing one of Baileys’ flagship wines. Not surprisingly, its quality has been recognised with a gold medal at the 2007 Wrest Point Royal Hobart International Wine Show.

Baileys of Glenrowan 1904 Block Shiraz - 2004
The 2004 vintage of the 1904 Block Shiraz is particularly special, as it marks the 100 year milestone for this historic vineyard. Once again, the dry grown, low yielding vines have produced a wine of considerable elegance and complexity.
