Baileys' Wine
Baileys of Glenrowan Frontignac - 2008
Bottle Size: 750ml
Graceful and fine, the 2008 vintage of the Frontignac sees the wine maintaining its reputation as the romantic member of the Baileys family. Very pale straw in hue - almost clear in the glass, yet with a soft hint of blush - the wine is deliciously fresh and aromatic. Delicate rose petal, fruit and musk aromas enhance the beautifully balanced palate, the perfect blend of sweetness and acid. Soft and refreshing, this is the wine for long summer afternoons.
Viticulture
The fruit for this wine was sourced from some of the younger Frontignac (also referred to as Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains) vines grown in the rich granite soil of the Baileys of Glenrowan vineyard. The Bundarra vineyard has rich, well-draining soils and warm dry summers.
Vinification
These parcels of fruit were crushed and given just a hint of contact with the skins before being pressed into stainless steel tanks to undergo a cool ferment. Minimal winemaking intervention preserves the fresh varietal fruit flavours, which is desirable for this wine style. After fermentation the wine was blended and bottled while young and fragrant.

The classic "verandah wine", the Frontignac is perfect for sipping by itself on a warm day. It's also a good accompaniment for weekend brunch or a dessert of poached quinces.
