Baileys' Wine

Winemakers Selection Old Muscat - NV

Bottle Size: 375ml

This limited edition, ultra premium Baileys of Glenrowan Winemakers Selection Old Muscat embodies the luscious and rich fortified wines of north-eastern Victoria.

Blended from specially selected parcels of aged Glenrowan stock, this Winemakers Selection Old Muscat is a rich, dense brown-red in the glass. Aromas of rose petals, orange blossom and dried fruits develop into a decadent palate of rich, mellow fruit flavours and a carefully balanced sweetness.

Viticulture

Baileys of Glenrowan has some of Victoria’s oldest plantings of vines. After the devastation of phylloxera at the turn of the last century, the vines were replanted in the rich granite soil below the Warby Ranges. The Glenrowan region has long warm summers with very little rainfall, allowing fruit to develop intense flavours and high natural sugar levels.

Suggested food

Drink with rich sticky date pudding or just enjoy the rich stickiness on its own.

Cellaring

This wine has been expertly aged under perfect conditions to ensure that it is a memorable experience straight away but will store well under the correct conditions.

Vinification

After crushing and fermentation in various vintages, individual parcels of Muscat were aged in various sized old oak. Our winemaker carefully selected and blended this wine from the finest barrels in the cellar to produce a fine fortified wine that is the ultimate expression of the Baileys of Glenrowan heritage of winemaking.
