Baileys' Wine

Winemakers Selection Old Tokay - NV

Bottle Size: 375ml

This limited edition, ultra premium Baileys of Glenrowan Winemakers Selection Old Tokay embodies the luscious and rich fortified wines of north-eastern Victoria. Blended from specially selected parcels of aged Glenrowan stock, this Winemakers Selection Old Tokay is a rich caramel gold in the glass. Aromas of butterscotch, toffee and malt develop into a wonderfully luscious and full palate with delightful complexity. The extended maturation in old oak has given this wine a beautiful balance of fruit, richness and length.

Viticulture

Baileys of Glenrowan has some of Victoria’s oldest plantings of vines. After the devastation of phylloxera at the turn of the last century, the vines were replanted in the rich granite soil below the Warby Ranges. The Glenrowan region has long warm summers with very little rainfall, allowing fruit to develop intense flavours and high natural sugar levels. This wine was made from Muscadelle sourced from the Baileys of Glenrowan vineyards.

Suggested food

Drink with aged cheeses and fruit or on its own.

Cellaring

This wine has been expertly aged under perfect conditions to ensure that it is a memorable experience now.

Vinification

After crushing and fermentation in various vintages, individual parcels of Tokay were aged in various sized old oak.

Our winemaker selected and blended this wine from the finest parcels to produce this fortified wine that is the ultimate expression of the Baileys of Glenrowan heritage of winemaking.
